Date/Time: April 28, 2024. 13.1 mile starts at 9:00 AM, 5K trail run/walk starts at 10:00 AM.
Join us for the legendary Doc Lopez Run for Health on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Take in breathtaking views as you run for a good cause. Enjoy breathtaking views along the challenging half marathon route from Keene Valley, up over Spruce Hill and into Elizabethtown, New York. Buses leave Elizabethtown at 8:30 for an 8:50 arrival in Keene Valley. The course is open until the last participant crosses the finish. The 5K trail loop behind the Cobble Hill Golf Course starts on a short stretch of paved pathway before entering trails in the woods. The route is hilly and offers rewarding views. There will be signage and volunteers along the route to assist with wayfinding and water at mile 2 of the course. Like any trail, there are obstacles like mud, rocks and roots. So please be prepared to slow down and “enjoy the ride.”
This is a family friendly event, but no pets!
Start/Finish: The 13.1 mile run starts at the 1782 NYS Route 73, Keene Valley NY. It follows Route 73 to Route 9N to the golf course in Elizabethtown, NY (8405 US RT 9N). The 5K run/walk starts at the golf course and is an out-and-back in Elizabethtown. All events finish at the golf course. Transportation: The bus for the 13.1 mile leaves Elizabethtown at 8:30 for an 8:50 arrival in Keene Valley.
