Bak’d, a brand-new co-op bakery offering fresh, made-from-scratch sweets and treats, will officially celebrate its opening in Downtown Ticonderoga with a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Celebration on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025 at 4:00 PM. Bak’d is located at 43 Montcalm Street in Ticonderoga, NY.
This celebration will take place in coordination with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership, and the Town of Ticonderoga. This event will be an opportunity for the community to see all that this new business, owned and operated by Melissa Sharrow and Tonya Hargett, has to offer. In addition, multiple local bakers will be featured as part of the co-op business model, showcasing a wide variety of talents and baked-from-scratch specialties.
“Opening Bak’d has been a dream come true, and we are grateful for the warm support we’ve already received,” shared Tonya Hargett, Co-Owner of Bak’d. “We hope our bakery becomes a place where people gather, connect, and enjoy a little sweetness in their day. Thank you to Team TACC and our fellow business owners for cheering us on, we are thrilled to be a part of Downtown Ticonderoga’s future.”
Melissa Sharrow, Co-Owner of Bak’d, added, “We are so excited to officially open our doors and bring something new to Downtown Ticonderoga. Being a part of this community and business district is truly an honor. We can’t wait to welcome in friends, families, and visitors to enjoy our baked goods, and we look forward to growing along with all of the amazing businesses in town.”
Bak’d offers a wide variety of made-from-scratch baked goods including scones, turnovers, cinnamon rolls, cakes, cookies, pies, cheesecakes, bread, and more. Customers can enjoy fresh treats daily from the bakery case or place custom orders for special occasions. The bakery will also host fun community events such as cookie decorating nights, paint and sips, and book club gatherings. For updates and information, follow Bak’d on Facebook and Instagram.
