JOIN US ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 24TH AT 10 AM AT BASS LAKE TRAIL FOR A MORNING CROSS-COUNTRY SKI. This is a beautiful 6.4-mile out-and-back trail in the Champlain Valley region in North Hudson. Bass Lake is a scenic pond surrounded by hills, a classic backcountry pond adventure. The trail begins by climbing about 400 feet in the first half mile. This outing is recommended for moderate to advanced cross-country skiers.

DIRECTIONS: Take Exit 29 off I-87 and follow Blue Ridge Road east toward North Hudson, then drive north on Route 9. Continue for 2.5 miles, turn right on county Route 4C, then turn right on Ensign Road. Follow Ensign Road for just over 2.5 miles to the trailhead on the right.

WHAT TO BRING: Dress in good winter layers for skiing. We do not provide skis but can recommend places to rent them if needed. Bring your own cup for hot chocolate at the end.
