CATSWOMEN HIKE OF JAY MOUNTAIN ON THURSDAY, JULY 25TH, AT 9:15 AM.
CATSWomen is a volunteer-led group that offers a welcoming environment for women of all ages and abilities to gain confidence in the outdoors through Champlain Area Trails. Check out this 9-mile trail to a stunning summit in the Jay Mountain Wilderness. For fans of open ridge hiking! Summits are a two-fer, with a western and an eastern one. They are joined by an extraordinary "highway in the sky" for abundant views from many angles. This is a challenging hike with 2,588 feet of elevation gain.
TIME: Meet at the trailhead at 9:00 am for a 9:15 am start. This hike should take about 6 hours.
WHAT TO BRING: Dress in good wicking layers for hiking in the summer. Remember to bring snacks and water!
REGISTER: There is limited spacing! Email Torey@champlainareatrails.com to register for the hike.
DIRECTIONS: The trailhead is off of Jay Mountain Road in Jay. We offer our outdoor educational programs for free, thanks to our generous donors. Your support is crucial for us to continue providing these programs in the future. We would be grateful for your donation today!
