Children's Artist Touch Workshops "Art Between Two Waters"
July 12th- Paint the Lake - participants will observe views of Lake George and Lake Champlain. With the help of a water color artist, they will paint their own lake scene.
July 14th-Fish Prints-participants will learn how a potter uses molds and try their hand at creating their own fish.
July 19th-Float your Boat - participants will assemble and decorate a variety of model watercreft.
July 21st-Some Things Fishy - participants learn how to make and decorate their own bamboo fishing poles and create lures (no hooks)
July 26th- Sing about the Lakes-Festival Guild performer, Tim Van Egmond will entertain with songs and stories about lakes.
July 28th-There's Water on my Stamp - participants will design their own lake themed postage stamp.
August 2nd-Swab the Decks - participants learn how to use cotton balls and cotton swabs as paint brushes.
August 4th - Get to the Point - participants will be introduced to pointillism by using pencils and markers to create lake themed art.
August 9th - Animals of the Lakes - A wildlife artist will instruct participants in how to draw their favorite animal.
August 11th - Art ends in TEE - a traditional favorite, participants create a Lake Champlain or Lake George outline on an item they bring to the workshop.
August 16th-Water Art - participants will design a picture usuing moistend crepe paper
August 18th - Hang in There-participants exhibit their summer work in an art show at the Heritage Museum 1888 Building
