French & Indian War Encampment

Description

We are pleased to announce the return of our French & Indian War Encampment to Crown Point State Historic Site!

We look forward to our enthusiastic living history participants bringing the site to life and encourage the public to spend the day exploring, observing, and learning about 18th century military life. Battle demonstrations will take place  at 11 am and 2 pm, as French, British and indigenous allies clash in recreated 18th century line and skirmish warfare. Food vendors will be available for lunch and ice-cream thanks to the Crab Shack and Mr. Ding-A-Ling. 

Encampment Schedule:
9:30:  Gates open 
11 am: Morning Battle
11:30 am - 2 pm: Museum open
2 pm: Afternoon battle
11am - 3pm: Food trucks

Shuttle will be available and running between parking area and forts from 10:30 to 3:30

PLEASE NOTE: due to staff limitations, the encampment is limited to Saturday only this year.
