You can begin to RSVP for our next meeting of Adirondack Torch Club is Thursday, November 5 (Guy Fawkes Day). at 5:30 pm. Rich Strum, one of our officers of the Adirondack Torch Club, will speak on "Remember, Remember, the Fifth of November: A History of Guy Fawkes Day." A plot to blow up the English parliament during the King's annual speech to the legislative body was thwarted on November 5, 1605, saving King James I. Learn about the "Gun Powder Plot," Guy Fawkes, and how Guy Fawkes Day has been celebrated in the past and present.
