The second event is the Lake George Association's 132nd Annual Meeting.
Being held this year at the Silver Bay YMCA in the Town of Hague, our 132nd annual meeting is August 18, and the presentation will be: A Family Discussion on Lake George Water Quality. LGA Water Quality Specialist Dr. Jeremy Farrell, Education Director Kristen Wilde and Project Manager Randy Rath will discuss:
How the Lake George Association has been assisting the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the Town and Village of Lake George (as well as many other organizations) in the Million Dollar Beach Investigation;
Updates on our testing of other Lake George beaches,
Newly collected data from our Citizen Science Lake Assessment Program and how it compares with the previous 12 years;
A review of our popular education and outreach programs; and
Information on all of the other work that your Lake George Association is doing to Protect the Water.
The meeting is open to the public. Registration begins at 9:30 am, where complimentary coffee or tea and pastries will be available. The formal meeting will begin at 10 am. Members will vote on directors to the LGA’s Board. Members should call the LGA office at 518-668-3558 to reserve their seat.
