On April 6, Jim Kloiber will present a travelogue “Passport Not Required: Our National Parks” (part 1) at the Adirondack Torch Club. Jim will show slides and chronicle a six-week camping journey that Jim and his wife, Stephanie Wagoner, took in 2014 to the Midwest and Northwest. Inspired by Ken Burns’ PBS documentary in 2010 on National Parks, Jim and Stephanie created a two-part plan to visit National Parks, first, in the Midwest and the Northwest and, second, in the South and Southwest. By the time they completed their trips, they had traveled over eighteen thousand miles. Jim is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin where he majored in US history and geography. He served in the U.S. Army. After a business career that found him residing in nine different states, he is retired. He and Stephanie have been year-round residents of this area since 2012.
