Event Date: Friday, February 21st Time: 10 AM Location: Point Au Roche State Park, 19 Camp Red Cloud Rd, Plattsburgh, NY Get ready for an unforgettable outdoor experience with Champlain Area Trails! Join us for a guided hike as we kick off the Northern Pathways Challenge. This exciting challenge invites hikers to conquer three of five scenic trails in Clinton County, New York. Upon completion of three hikes, you can register and pay a $5 fee to earn the exclusive Northern Pathways Patch. Experience the Long Point Trail This week, we will tackle the Long Point Trail at Point Au Roche State Park, renowned for its stunning nature walk featuring tranquil lake views. Perfect for all skill levels, this easy hike stretches 3.7 miles with less than 100 feet of elevation gain, making it ideal for families and beginners. Important Information - Weather Advisory: Since this hike takes place in February, it will be cold. Please dress in layers to stay warm and comfortable throughout the hike. - Meeting Point: We will gather by the Nature Center at Point Au Roche State Park.
