JOIN CHAMPLAIN AREA TRAILS IN TACKLING INVASIVES AT ESSEX QUARRY NATURE PRESERVE ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9TH AT 9 A.M.
We will be working at the top section of Essex Quarry. This is an area that was cleared four years ago, but honeysuckle and buckthorn are starting to reappear. As the invasives are cleared away you can really see the charm of the forest! We will be working loppers and hand saws, all of which Champlain Area Trails will provide. DIRECTIONS: We will meet at the Essex Quarry Nature Preserve. We will wrap up around 1 pm. Make sure to bring gloves, water, and some snacks! REGISTRATION: Please register by 6:00 p.m. the day before the event by emailing tony@champlainareatrails.com, but it's also okay to meet us there on Saturday morning.
