It took over two weeks for the Declaration of Independence to get from Philadelphia to Ticonderoga in July of 1776. Join Fort Ticonderoga Curator Dr. Matthew Keagle at 1pm on Facebook Live for a reading of this critical document in American history on the anniversary of the day it was first read to the army at Ticonderoga.
Learn about when the Declaration got to Ticonderoga, how it was received, and what it meant to the soldiers digging in on America’s most embattled landscape.
